Are you a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher looking for teaching opportunities in secondary schools across Gateshead and the surrounding areas?

Milk Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic Secondary PE Teachers to support local secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who are committed to promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and student achievement while gaining experience across a variety of school settings.

The Role

As a Secondary PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons, encouraging students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while creating a positive and supportive environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
2. Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons where required
3. Promote participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
4. Assess, monitor, and support student progress
5. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
6. Manage classroom and behaviour expectations effectively
7. Support extracurricular sports activities where appropriate
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership teams

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking teachers who:

9. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
10. Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
11. Are passionate about physical education and student wellbeing
12. Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
13. Can motivate and inspire students of all abilities
14. Are flexible, reliable, and professional

Requirements

15. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
16. Experience teaching PE at secondary level
17. Strong communication and organisational skills
18. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
19. Ability to provide two recent professional references
