Opportunity

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Wealstun, working as a Library Support Worker. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Wealstun is located near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. Managed by His Majestys Prison and Probation Service. The prison operates as a Category C facility, accommodating individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisons feel safe and secure at all times. The Prisons aim is to provide a secure and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

* To hold Level 3 Library and Information Services qualification or be willing to work towards achieving within an agreed timescale
* To hold Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy
* Experience of working in a customer facing role
* High Attention to detail
* Effective communication & inter-personal skills
* IT skills, working with Microsoft Office and/or management data systems
* To be logical and organised
