Thomas Fawcett's are a small independent family run firm who have produced and supplied Malted and Roasted Malt products to the brewing industry from the same site in Castleford for over 200 years.
We currently are able to offer the following vacancy at our site in Castleford.
Production Operative (Packaging and Dispatch Dept).
Rate of pay - £12.36/hr
This role will include preparing and packaging/palletising whole and crushed malt products to suit the customers' requirements, loading and unloading of delivery vehicles/containers, varied duties in relation to the production of Malt and associated cleaning duties. Whilst some of this process is semi-automated the role can be at times physically demanding. Shifts are based on a 40hr week Monday to Friday, working either 6am – 2pm, 8am - 4pm or 10am – 6pm .
Other hours of work/overtime and weekend working may be needed to suit demand.
Applicants must hold a current full driving license and also a counter – balance forklift truck certificate would be advantageous, but we will provide flt training to the right candidate.
