About the role:
Do you want to develop you project management skills? We have a short term opportunity for a project manager to play an exciting role in the substance misuse team.
We are looking either for an experienced project manager who is looking to expand their subject area knowledge or for a substance misuse specialist who is looking to build on their experience in project management.
This role requires an innovative and organised person to drive forward the work of the team to meet the statutory aims and requirements set by central government. It is also an opportunity to reduce the impact of substance misuse on the residents and communities of East Sussex. The role is based in the community safety team within public health and is at the forefront of tackling some of the most complex issues facing the county today.
This role is crucial in all areas of the work of the substance misuse team. It is a unique opportunity to further the work of the Harm to Hope Board – contributing to real change for those affected by drug and alcohol misuse in East Sussex. There will also be a chance to be involved in developing the drug and alcohol treatment service.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
* Excellent project management skills
* A knowledge of substance misuse and its impacts
* Understand the wider system in which the ESCC works
Interviews will be held in person at either St Marys House in Eastbourne or County Hall in Lewes on the week of 19 th May 2025.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
