Mearns Medical Centre is a dynamic and forward-thinking practice with a growing list of over 16,000 patients. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive working environment. We are also a training practice with a strong focus on education and you will be working alongside 4 other experienced ANPs who offer peer support. Situated in a prime location, we are easily commutable from much of Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, and Lanarkshire.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team on a permanent basis.
About the Role
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Mearns Medical Centre, you will:
1. Manage acute presentations, minor illnesses, and chronic disease. This will be based mainly in a surgery setting, but may also include occasional home visits.
2. Perform clinical assessments, initiate investigations, formulate management plans, and undertake appropriate interventions.
3. Work closely with our diverse multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Practice Nurses and Pharmacists to deliver high-quality care.
The ideal candidate will:
4. Hold a degree-level nursing qualification with current NMC registration.
5. Possess advanced clinical, examination and decision-making skill equivalent to Masters level.
6. Have significant post-registration experience in primary care or urgent care settings.
7. Be an independent prescriber.
