Academics Bristol is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in South Bristol (BS13) This rewarding role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and external professionals, you will play a key part in ensuring every child can access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a supportive school environment. Salary: £95 - £115 per day, depending on experience Start ASAP! Full-time, Term Time only plus Inset Days Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 3.30pm (33.75 hours per week) About the SEND Teaching Assistant role Support pupils with SEND across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 under the direction of teachers and the SENDCo. Provide in-class support to enable pupils to access learning and make progress. Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, social skills, or emotional regulation. Help to implement Personalised Learning Plans, Behaviour Plans, and Personal Care Plans. Encourage inclusion by supporting pupils to participate fully in school life. Monitor and share feedback on pupil progress. Provide personal care support where required (training provided).
