Overview:
A leading industrial and commercial build main contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team based in Northampton.

The Role:
As Estimator, you will play a key role in the preparation of competitive tenders and cost plans across a range of major construction projects. You will work closely with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams to secure profitable new business opportunities.
The role offers hybrid / work-from-home flexibility alongside office and project involvement when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Producing detailed take-offs and pricing schedules
* Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Identifying project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
* Attending tender meetings and client presentations
* Supporting bid submissions and pre-construction activities
* Liaising with operational, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender process
* Assisting with handover of successful projects to delivery teams
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
* Experience pricing industrial, commercial, logistics, or large-scale build projects

* Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
* Full UK driving licence
