Maths Teacher
* Annual Salary: Competitive, in line with Teacher Pay Scale
* Location: Lancaster
* Job Type: Full-time, Long-term
* £168 - £232 per day
* April to July
Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Full-Time Maths Teacher to start immediately on a long-term basis at a secondary school in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
* Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and outcomes.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management to ensure a conducive learning environment.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
* Recent relevant experience of teaching Maths, particularly at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
* Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
* Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students, demonstrating qualities of a good role model such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
* Good interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
