Responsibilities
As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing renewable energy projects, including wind farm and solar developments.
Conducting noise surveys and assessments in line with industry standards.
Developing and implementing noise modelling strategies using advanced software tools.
Preparing high-quality technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
Providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in acoustic consultancy, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
Proficiency in noise modelling software and techniques.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring.
Membership or eligibility for membership with the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) is desirable.
Day-to-Day
Your daily activities will include:
Managing and coordinating noise surveys for renewable energy projects.
Conducting data analysis and preparing detailed acoustic models.
Writing comprehensive technical reports and presenting findings to clients.
Leading project meetings and liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Supporting and guiding junior consultants in their technical and professional development.
