To strengthen our operations in Maidstone, we are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative.
Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that daily warehouse operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with Driscoll’s quality standards. You play a key part in maintaining product integrity and ensuring our customers receive the best possible berries.
1. Unloading, receiving, storing, and dispatching goods efficiently and accurately
2. Supporting day-to-day packhouse operations
3. Picking and preparing customer orders, including cross-docking activities
4. Safely operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
5. Ensuring stock accuracy through regular checks and audits
6. Maintaining accurate records using warehouse systems and scanners
7. Adhering to cold chain management to protect product quality and shelf life
8. Following health & safety, hygiene, and environmental standards at all times
9. Collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations
Candidate Profile
As a Warehouse Operative, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of our products through the warehouse and packhouse. You will be involved in all aspects of the operation, from receiving goods to preparing customer orders, always safeguarding product quality and maintaining our high standards.
Working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment, you contribute directly to delivering fresh berries in perfect condition to our customers.

11. Experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment (fresh produce experience is a plus)
12. Strong teamwork skills and a hands-on mentality
13. Good organisational skills and ability to work under time pressure
14. Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse systems/scanners
15. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, early starts, and late finishes
16. A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment
