Overview
Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is seeking an Engineer to join our team. Salary: $55,000-$70,000.
These positions support the Analysis, Materials, & Prototyping (AMPD) Directorates in mission execution. Openings span multiple engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Robotics Engineering. Roles are entry level through mid-career for bachelor's and advanced degrees. The positions support the development of advanced and novel materials, manufacturing, and analytical/experimental technologies to enable development and improvement of new and legacy armaments systems. The position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.
What will you be doing?
These positions are key members of the Division in the appropriate supporting Branches. Duties include:
* Analysis & Experimental Evaluation
o Dynamic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of munition and armament systems
o Mechanical design of experimental/prototype systems
o Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
o Test & Evaluation of munition and armament systems
o Computer vision analysis / Digital Image Correlation
* Materials & Producibility
o Advanced manufacturing
o 3-D Printing (metal & plastic)
o Printed electronics
o Materials analysis
o Novel & nano materials
o Producibility and industrial base assessments
* Manufacturing & Prototype Technology
o Conventional manufacturing
o Robotic programming and integration
o Welding and joining
o Tool & die
o 5-axis machining
Qualifications
* Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
* Pass drug and alcohol testing
* Strong mechanical skills and experience
* Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes
* Experience with engineering software, including Creo CAD
* Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* High standard of quality and efficiency
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of weapons and firearms is a plus
* Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize
* Fluent in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
* Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply
* 0-5 years of engineering or related discipline experience
