* Title: Cyber Security Architect - Contract

We are working with a large, complex enterprise environment seeking an experienced Cyber Delivery Architect to support the delivery of security architecture across multiple programmes. This role is delivery-focused, working closely with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and programme teams to ensure security is embedded by design.
The ideal contractor will have operated in regulated, high-availability environments and be comfortable balancing strategic architecture with hands‑on delivery oversight.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver cybersecurity architecture across multiple business and technology initiatives
* Translate security strategy and policies into pragmatic, deliverable architecture patterns
* Work closely with delivery squads, engineers, cloud, infrastructure and third‑party suppliers
* Conduct and contribute to architecture reviews, threat modelling and design assurance
* Ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards, regulatory and compliance obligations
* Support cloud security design across AWS / Azure environments
* Provide clear architectural documentation and guidance for delivery teams
* Act as the security design authority within projects and programmes
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Cyber Security Architect or Cyber Delivery Architect in large enterprises
* Strong background in secure architecture design and delivery (not purely governance)
* Experience working within complex, regulated environments (e.g. aviation, finance, critical infrastructure)
* Solid understanding of: Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work across multiple delivery streams
* Cloud security (AWS and/or Azure)
* Network and infrastructure security
* Identity and access management
* Application and data security
* Comfortable operating in hybrid working environments (2‑3 days on site)
* Experience working within agile or hybrid delivery models
* Familiarity with Zero Trust principles
* Previous exposure to large‑scale transformation or modernisation programmes
