As a Product Owner, you will support the George.com Product Manager in defining and executing product strategy, vision, and roadmap across key platforms and integrations. The role involves managing a prioritised backlog, ensuring system performance, and using user feedback, business needs, and data to drive decisions, with a focus on improving user experience, adoption, and overall product performance. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in either one of our offices – Asda House in Leeds or George House in Lutterworth – 3 days per week. Occasional travel between the two locations will be necessary as part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the product roadmap and contribute to defining long‑term product vision and strategy for George.com
- Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well‑defined backlog items across systems such as SFCC and supporting integrations
- Contribute to and lead key product ceremonies within the product lifecycle during sprints
- Proactively analyse user needs, platform performance (e.g. search via Algolia, personalisation via Dynamic Yield), and business priorities to inform product decisions
- Ensure continuous improvement of the product through regular feedback loops and data insights
- Maintain a clear, prioritised, and organised product backlog aligned to business value
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, operations, third‑party vendors) to ensure user stories are well understood and ready for development
- Support release planning and ensure readiness of features, enhancements, and fixes
- Oversee routine system maintenance and ensure the product remains stable, reliable, and user‑focused
- Investigate issues, conduct analysis, and work with both technical teams and business users to resolve problems efficiently
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, process efficiency, and user experience
- Actively contribute to initiatives that enhance user experience and drive adoption across the organisation
- Gather, interpret, and present user feedback to influence product improvements
- Develop strong domain expertise to support business users and champion product value

Working Environment
Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week in one of our home offices. Over and above this, each area may have additional requirements that may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores, or depots.
