A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced and driven Group Stores Supervisor to oversee the planning, coordination, and optimisation of inventory and purchasing functions. Working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and multiple business units, you will play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and despatched smoothly, efficiently, and in line with business requirements. This is a hands-on supervisory role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident in leading teams, and committed to driving process improvements, cost efficiencies, and supply chain reliability. Job Type: Full time, permanent Location: Aldershot Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Thursday: 7:00–16:30 (45-minute lunch) / Friday: 7:00–12:00) Comprehensive Benefits Package Key Responsibilities: Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to internal and external customers. Manage and coordinate the distribution of supplies across the organisation. Establish and oversee annual physical inventory count procedures. Supervise, coach, and develop Stores personnel. Collaborate with production teams, line managers, and coordinators to support planning and forecasting of customer orders. Ensure all materials department practices and procedures are followed. Keep detailed, accurate records of procurement activity, material specifications, and stock levels. Oversee purchasing and control of consumables. Work closely with Quality to ensure timely goods-in and despatch processes. Support the consolidation of Stores and Despatch functions through improved processes, policies, KPIs, and use of the company ERP system. Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements: NVQ or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, or Team Leadership. Proven experience in a Stores or Warehouse Supervisory role (manufacturing desirable). Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced production environment. Knowledge of manual handling, H&S regulations, and warehouse best practices. Good working knowledge of ERP/MRP and stock control systems. Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence. Full UK Driving Licence. Physical Requirements: Ability to undertake heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and periods of standing or sitting.
