Background
The new School of Communication and Creativity brings together our renowned Department of Journalism with two new Departments of Performing Arts and Media, Culture and Creative Industries. The School supports and develops the next generation of practitioners to work across the cultural, creative and media sectors.
The School is looking to appoint an outstanding candidate as its Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Operations (DOO), you will lead a multi-functional team, in the delivery of a high quality, customer focused operational and administrative function that supports the School. You will lead, and work with the DOO on, a number of cross-School projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative and operational processes and polices. You will help align operational plans in line with School and University priorities.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be highly proactive, results driven, and have experience in managing complex operational delivery, preferably in a university setting, along with line management and project management experience. You will have demonstrable experience in implementing process improvements, fostering innovation, and developing effective relationships.
