Self-Employed Health & Wellbeing Coach
Reed Wellbeing is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced health professional to deliver our evidence‑based diabetes prevention and wellbeing programmes as a self‑employed coach.
Pay Range: £50 per 90Minute session.
Expected availability: 12–20 hours per week.
Location: Face‑to‑face sessions across Leeds with frequent travel across West Yorkshire. Candidates must live within close proximity, hold a UK driving licence, and have access to their own vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the group‑based diabetes prevention programme in a professional, engaging, and motivational style in accordance with the curriculum, resources, and quality standards.
* Tailor and adapt the delivery approach to maximise participant engagement and learning.
* Actively promote the programme within the community, aligning with national and local objectives.
* Assist line management in coordinating and planning service delivery.
* Support and monitor participant progression through the programme, accurately capturing relevant data, ensuring quality assurance, and fulfilling commissioner reporting requirements.
* Proactively contribute ideas to support and enhance the service.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum Level3 qualification relating to Health & Social Care, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Diabetes, Education, Nutrition, or Fitness.
* Passion for health and wellbeing with an enthusiastic and genuine approach to helping participants improve their health.
* Engaging and empathetic communication skills.
* Ability to coach individuals and groups to identify solutions and develop knowledge and skills to support behavioural or lifestyle changes.
* Well‑organised with a strong team ethos.
* Willingness to be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Willingness and ability to undertake initial training and CPD as required.
* Fluency in community languages is desirable.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
* Willingness to travel across West Yorkshire.
