Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the respiratory intervention team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust is starting a new robotic-assisted bronchoscopy service (RAB). This will be embedded in the well-established bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) service based at St Mary’s Hospital and will allow the team to sample peripheral lung lesions under general anaesthetic. The team is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated nurse to provide specialist care for patients undergoing day case RAB and other bronchoscopy procedures. The post-holder will also support the cross-site respiratory intervention service, focusing predominantly on bronchoscopy, but also providing cross-cover to the pleural service when needed.
You will need to be a motivated flexible team player and be able demonstrate a commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice. As part of the new team, you will play a vital role in supporting lung cancer patients throughout their cancer journey, establishing a new cutting-edge interventional service, promoting clinical excellence and the ongoing development of the service.
