Job title: IT Supplier Manager-International (Edgewing)
Location : Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £61,110+ Dependent of skills and experience
What you’ll be doing :
1. Partner with the Digital Information Leadership team and business functions (e.g., Procurement) to define and implement an IT supplier strategy that supports business goals, enhances supplier performance, and manages risk effectively
2. Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the Head of Service Management and Head of Digital Business Information Management, to develop and maintain a clear and effective IT supplier governance framework
3. Support the procurement lifecycle for IT supplier services ?" including tendering, contract negotiations, and renewals ?" ensuring alignment with strategic needs
4. Facilitate and lead regular IT supplier review meetings, helping to maintain strong relationships and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations are consistently met
5. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier performance, promoting quality, value for money, and innovative solutions
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
6. Proven experience in IT supplier management, covering the full supplier lifecycle ?" including identification, evaluation, contracting, performance monitoring, and offboarding
7. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing IT supplier strategies, ideally within highly regulated sectors such as aerospace or defence or similar
8. Proven track record in establishing effective IT supplier governance frameworks, incorporating key processes such as tendering, compliance, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Desirable
9. Experience working with global partners
10. Strong understanding of the IT supplier landscape, including system integrators (SIs), their core service offerings, and relative strengths and areas for improvement
11. Proactive approach to resolving supplier-related issues and driving improvements in IT service delivery through effective supplier engagement and relationship management

The IT Supplier Team
You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced team within the BAE Systems Air sector, committed to the delivery and progression of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) for the UK. You will play a central role in working across a diverse stakeholder group of functional and delivery teams including tri national industry and government colleagues from across our partner nations to support the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
