Rehoming & Welfare Co‑ordinators – Part‑Time

We are looking for two part‑time Rehoming & Welfare Co‑ordinators at Brands Hatch (Kent). The positions are permanent contracts.


Role Overview

* Dog Rehoming – 16 hours per week.
* Dog Rehoming & Welfare – 28 hours per week.


Responsibilities

Dog Rehoming – 16 hours per week:

* Deliver outstanding customer service to prospective adopters looking to adopt a Battersea dog.
* Engage with customers across all communication channels.
* Carry out thorough suitability assessments.
* Match potential owners with dogs that fit their lifestyle and experience.
* Support the wider Customer Service Team with day‑to‑day site administration to keep the rehoming process running smoothly.

Dog Rehoming & Welfare – 28 hours per week:

* Deliver exceptional daily care, enrichment, and welfare for dogs in the kennels.
* Maintain Battersea’s high standards of cleanliness.
* Create clear, thoughtful rehoming criteria.
* Conduct in‑depth interviews with potential adopters to assess suitability and identify strong matches.
* Lead a care group, guide assessments, and provide warm, professional communication to everyone who visits or contacts Battersea.


Key Qualifications

* Relevant experience with dog rehoming or animal welfare.
* Excellent communication skills in person and through digital channels.
* Ability to conduct suitability assessments and make informed decisions.
* Resilience and adaptability to handle day‑to‑day variety and physical tasks required for animal care.
