Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? Join our passionate and dynamic kitchen brigade as a Sous Chef – Banqueting, where you’ll help create unforgettable dining experiences for weddings, conferences, gala dinners, and more. You will be accountable for the Banqueting kitchen and Canteen operation including production, cleanliness, and safe systems of work in a single kitchen and deputises in the absence of the Head Chef. You will work alongside the team and ensure the food is received by the guest in a timely manner to the quality expected.

What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, large-scale banqueting menus
Leading and motivating a team during busy service periods
Assisting with planning, prep, and execution of everything from intimate private dinners to lavish banquets
Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation at all times
Ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with food safety standards.
Inspiring junior chefs and contributing to a positive, supportive kitchen culture.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a banqueting or high-volume kitchen, ideally at a 4/5* hotel or events venue with a comparable size and complexity
Strong leadership skills with a calm, confident approach to service
Passion for quality, consistency, and creativity
A natural team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events-based shifts.
A commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety, working knowledge of HACCP and must completed level 2 Food Safety certification as a minimum.
