Overview
As a Kitchen Assistant we ask for you to serve food sourced from Apetito, which provides a healthy, nutritious diet essential to ensuring residents\' wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily meals. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process. You should be reliable, considerate, and caring in your approach. Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards in the kitchen and during food preparation.
* Ensure food is sourced from Apetito and prepared to support residents\' wellbeing and enjoyment of meals.
* Adopt a reliable, considerate, and caring approach in all duties.
* Comply with safeguarding responsibilities and develop understanding and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect of adults who need care and support.
* Ensure safeguarding and whistleblowing policies are adhered to at all times.
* Provide evidence of any training not undertaken and complete training as determined by the home.
* Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
* Participate in appropriate training and support staff development as part of personal and professional development.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
* Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
* A committed and organised approach.
* A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Flexible to work shifts.
