Applications are invited for the following Cardiology Clinical Fellow vacancy at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. This post is available from August 2026 to August 2027. Complex Device Therapy and Advanced Heart failure The successful applicant will be based within the West of Scotland Regional Heart and Lung Centre at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in Clydebank. The hospital houses the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service, Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service, and the Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit. The hospital is also the regional tertiary centre for cardiac surgery and complex electrophysiology for the West of Scotland and the largest volume PCI centre in the UK. This Fellowship offers an excellent opportunity for clinical experience in complex device therapy and advanced heart failure (or potentially clinical cardiac electrophysiology). Providing an opportunity for clinical experience in complex device therapy (implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) pacemakers and defibrillators) along with advanced heart failure (including cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support). This post would be suitable for a range of applicants including Specialist Registrars or Trainees wanting cardiology subspecialty experience. Applicants will be expected to hold MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification, be registered with the GMC, and have relevant experience in General Medicine and Cardiology. The post is available from August 2026 for one year in the first instance with further extensions potentially available depending on satisfactory progress.
