What will you be doing?
* You will work closely with the management and support team, handling the day‑to‑day running of shifts.
* Prioritise and direct workload to team members, ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly and the health, safety and welfare of customers and employees are addressed.
* Assist the management team by providing and recording information to help amend and update care plans so that changes in customers' needs can be supported appropriately.
* 37 hours per week.
* Shifts between 07.30‑15.00 and 14.00‑21.30, including alternate weekends.
About You
* Previous experience in care leadership.
* NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care (ideal).
* Ability to plan and develop services to meet the needs of customers from diverse cultural communities.
* Knowledge of the Quality Commission (CQC) and all relevant legislation and regulations, ensuring high‑quality care and support for residents.
* Experience as a Senior Carer stepping in to support your manager or a current Shift Lead seeking to gain more experience.
Legal & Training
We will offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2‑4 weeks "Buddy scheme". No pressure to "hit the ground running". This role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS certificate at our cost.
