Senior SOC Analyst
Location: Edinburgh – based in the Edinburgh office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.

Our Senior SOC Analysts are based in our fantastic offices on St Andrews Square in the heart of Edinburgh.
This hybrid role works closely with our partners – including the Service Desk and NOC teams – to identify and resolve threats to Computershare.
The role follows a shift pattern: 12‑hour shifts over 2 days/2 nights, followed by 4 days off.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced triage, correlation and investigation of alerts across multiple telemetry sources (SIEM, EDR, network, cloud).
* Lead initial containment and investigative response activities, ensuring smooth escalation to the CIRT for full incident coordination.
* Act as the escalation point for SOC Analysts, validating alerts, refining detections and prioritising security events.
* Maintain situational awareness of global threat activity, adapting monitoring logic to emerging risks.
* Coordinate and communicate with relevant stakeholders during major security incidents, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation.
* Assist in post‑incident reviews, identify root causes and drive improvement actions across the SOC.
* Mentor and coach SOC Analysts, fostering technical growth and operational maturity.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience as a SOC Analyst.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience working effectively in a team.

* Ability to follow and improve processes and documentation.
