We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor/Manager to oversee our clients' workshop operations. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and safety, managing a team of skilled professionals, and ensuring efficient workshop activities.
Day-to-day Of The Role
* Supervise and manage workshop staff including Machinists, Fabricators, and Field Service Personnel, ensuring high standards of work and safety.
* Uphold and enforce high HSE and quality standards, implementing quality assurance procedures and corrective actions as needed.
* Ensure all machines and tools are maintained, and workshop standards are upheld.
* Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance activities.
* Deliver daily briefings and tool box talks to workshop staff.
* Collaborate with draughtsmen for technical drawings and with the sales team for order delivery.
* Maintain tooling and electrical tooling, ensuring they are tested and safe for use.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong mechanical background with familiarity in workshop tools, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
* Proven team leadership and staff development skills.
* Proficiency in basic MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM or workshop management software.
* Relevant certifications such as SSSTS, CIPD qualifications, and an apprenticeship background are highly valued.
