THE ROLE_
Reporting to the Head of Reporting, this role will support the consolidation, reporting, and operational finance processes across the organisation. The position will take ownership of key month end activities, oversee intercompany processes, manage group overhead reporting, and contribute to ongoing process improvement and systems enhancement projects.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_
* Support group month end close activities and ownership of group overheads budget trackers.
* Work closely with Group FP&A Manager to ensure correct coding and variance explanations of group costs.
* Support smaller business units with their monthly reporting and accounting.
* Prepare journals, reconciliations, and analysis.
* Work collaboratively with local finance teams to ensure timely submissions.
* Full ownership of the day-to-day intercompany process, closely liaising with the Finance Risk & Controls Manager.
* Lead month-end intercompany reconciliations
* Resolve historic issues and ensure future accuracy.
* Maintain Balance Sheet & P&L intercompany integrity across entities.
* Prepare weekly flash reporting and produce insightful commentary for weekly and monthly packs.
* Assist Group FP&A Manager with ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
* Support external audit preparation.
* Assist with finance data cleansing as required and ensure data quality standards are maintained.
* Work with group treasury function and head of reporting on preparing accurate monthly cashflow reporting.
* Drive process improvement initiatives across consolidation and reporting, developing best practice standards across the Group and contributing to automation and reporting enhancements.
* Carry out data analysis and support financial projects as required.
* Participate in projects and initiatives which drive Talon's commitment to positive social and environmental causes. E.g., charity partnerships, volunteering, carbon offsetting etc.
* Role model the Talon values and behaviours to help ensure the best possible culture and tone is set throughout Talon.

* Qualified Accountant ACA (Newly qualified up to 2 years PQE)
* Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power Point; experience with NetSuite advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
