Job Description
This is a highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder role requiring strong project management, data management, and change management skills.
You will develop and implement sustainability toolkits, support client engagement on the NZC FM Partnership Programme, and provide guidance and training to operational teams to embed sustainable practices.
The role demands the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and drive behaviour change across multiple levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and develop carbon reduction opportunities to enhance environmental and social sustainability across ISS services.
2. Plan, implement, and manage sustainability projects, including EV charging, fleet upgrades, travel surveys, and supply chain initiatives.
3. Work with procurement and supply chain teams to drive sustainability improvements and meet carbon reduction targets.
4. Create and share sustainability playbooks and toolkits, tailoring guidance to client needs.
5. Coordinate and report on carbon reduction projects, providing updates and flagging issues.
6. Support ESG reporting and develop dashboards and guidance for tracking sustainability performance.
7. Engage internal and external stakeholders to promote and embed sustainability initiatives.
8. Analyse data to assess project impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
9. Collaborate across teams to integrate sustainability goals into operations and strategic planning.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
10. Strong understanding of GHG emissions calculations and reporting protocols, particularly Scope 3.
11. Experience in managing multiple complex projects across a multi-faceted organisation.
12. Proven ability to drive change management and engage stakeholders at all levels.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex sustainability issues clearly.
14. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
15. Experience in data analysis, reporting, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
16. Collaborative team player, able to work with subject matter experts in technical delivery, procurement, and product development.
17. Experience in Facilities Management or a related sector is advantageous.
18. Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to influence behaviours to deliver sustainability outcomes.
