Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our friendly team at Radnor Park Kindergarten. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and leading a team of childcare professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare services.
* Manage daily activities and routines to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
* Drive initiatives that promote a positive and engaging environment for children.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as organisational policies.
* Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members to enhance service delivery.
* Provide guidance and support to staff in managing children's behaviour and developmental needs.
Experience
* Previous experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting is preferred.
* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Experience working with children, demonstrating the ability to engage and communicate effectively.
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication with staff, parents, and children.
* A background in childcare or nursery management is advantageous but not mandatory.
