As a specialist in green hydrogen and low-carbon infrastructure, the organisation is playing a central role in the UK’s journey to Net Zero. Due to rapid growth and expanding project demands, they’re now seeking a QHSE Manager to strengthen their commitment to operational integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement. About the role: As the QHSE Manager, you’ll take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining best-in-class QHSE management systems. You’ll ensure alignment with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), embed a strong safety and quality culture, and provide strategic insight to leadership as the company scales its operations. You’ll work across a variety of project and operational settings - from office-based coordination to on-site inspections - while supporting a fast-moving team of engineers, developers, and commercial specialists. Key responsibilities: Develop and implement QHSE policies, systems, and procedures to meet ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards Conduct regular audits, site inspections, and compliance reviews Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, driving corrective and preventative action Deliver training and guidance to staff on all QHSE-related matters Oversee quality assurance of both management systems and technical outputs Monitor and report on QHSE performance, risks, and trends to senior stakeholders Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental legislation Support risk management, emergency preparedness, and process safety initiatives Required experience and qualifications: Degree in Process Engineering or a related field In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards Experience working in processing industry - Eg. Industrial gases, fuels & oil. Strong experience in developing and managing QHSE systems Understanding of process safety management Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills Proficiency in incident reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement frameworks Comfortable working across both office and project site environments Desirable: Relevant QHSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, Lead Auditor) Experience in renewable energy or clean technology sectors Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices Knowledge of risk management and emergency response planning Why join?
