Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a positive and efficient working environment for our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Duties
* Manage the front of house operations, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality are maintained at all times.
* Lead and motivate the front of house team, providing training and support to enhance their skills in customer service and food safety.
* Oversee the reservation system and manage guest seating arrangements to optimise flow and efficiency.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front of house and back of house operations.
* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism, aiming for resolution that enhances guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of food when necessary, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Experience
* Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant sector is essential (at least 2 years)
* Proficiency in bartending is highly desirable, alongside knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Strong team management skills with a proven track record of leading a successful team in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with hotel operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to build rapport with both guests and staff members.
* A commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene practices is required.
