Kickstart Your Career in Health & Safety with a Hands-On Apprenticeship!
This Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Apprentice role offers a chance to gain practical experience across British Gas, Centrica Energy Storage, Bord Gais, and British Gas Net Zero. You’ll learn from industry experts and contribute to safety initiatives.
This apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with academic coursework at North Lindsey College. The program lasts up to 2 years and 4 months, providing skills and qualifications in occupational health and safety.
Apprenticeship Structure:
* First 2 Years: Workplace experience and college-based learning at North Lindsey College, with a Level 3 Health and Safety curriculum.
* Support: Regular reviews to monitor progress.
* Certification: Working towards NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Level 3 qualification.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in developing and implementing health and safety policies.
* Conduct risk assessments and audits.
* Support incident investigations and reporting.
* Participate in safety training and workshops.
* Collaborate with departments to promote safety culture.
* Maintain safety documentation.
* Help create safety campaigns.

Candidate requirements:
* Interest in health and safety and pursuing NEBOSH qualifications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to travel across business units.
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grades C/4 or above, with certificates.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
