We are looking for a HEAD CHEF to join our clients team based in Bridport on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. You will lead and inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff, help plan and develop menus, manage inventory, and collaborate with other departments to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This will include event work like weddings etc.
* Lead and manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
* Develop and implement creative and diverse menus that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs.
* Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to minimise waste and control costs.
* Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition.
What we need from you:
* CV showing experience as a Head Chef in a busy, high-volume kitchen
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
* Creative and innovative approach to menu development.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
