Job Description
Reed Finance are recruiting on behalf of our globally recognised client for an Interim Group Financial Accountant. This crucial role involves supporting the Group’s consolidation and reporting processes and providing technical accounting expertise, so would suit a very hands on Accountant, ideally trained and qualified with an Accountancy Practice environment with extensive exposure to IFRS.
Our client work on a flexible, hybrid basis with 3 days per week required in the offices. This role could either be on a long term FTC (12-24 months) or permanent basis, depending on preference.
Due to the nature of this role, a full qualification (ACA or ACCA) is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Supporting multi-currency consolidations and reporting, including monthly, half and full-year reporting.
* Advising on accounting standards and providing technical support as needed.
* Managing the accounting for business streamlining, strategic disposals and ensuring accurate recording throughout the year.
* Budgeting and forecasting.
* Producing the financial sections of the Group’s annual report and interim statements.
* Reviewing submissions to ensure they are correct, accurate, and complete.
* Assisting with tax accounting.
* Liaising with the Group’s auditors and ensuring compliance with IFRS.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in financial consolidation and reporting.
* Strong understanding of IFRS and its application in a corporate setting.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA)
