Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, hands on Head Chef to lead the current kitchen team on to a new chapter. We currently have a wonderful reputation for good, honest, freshly prepared food. We are requiring a Head Chef to push us further into Exceptional food, worthy of culinary awards and rosettes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring high standards of food safety, and creating an inviting atmosphere for both staff and guests. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and reputation of our establishment.

Duties

* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
* Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available for daily operations.
* Develop new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends to enhance guest experience.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency across all dishes served.

Skills

* Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment.
* Strong background in food production with a focus on quality and presentation.
* Excellent team management skills, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.
* Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines.
* Extensive kitchen experience with a solid understanding of culinary principles.
* Demonstrated hospitality skills, enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.
* Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate kitchen staff.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing adaptability in fast-paced environments.
