An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Readiness Lead to join a Lloyd’s market syndicate and Managing General Agent (MGA) on an 18 month fixed-term contract.
Reporting directly to the Syndicate CFO, this role will play a critical part in designing, implementing and embedding robust, scalable finance processes, systems and controls across both the MGU and syndicate/Managing Agency operations.
The Role
* The role will lead the end-to-end transformation of the finance function, covering finance operating model design, general ledger and reporting system selection and implementation, data architecture, automation and financial controls.
* You will oversee the development of reporting processes to support regulatory returns, syndicate reporting and management information, while working closely with underwriting, actuarial, IT, operations, risk and compliance teams to ensure seamless data flows and high-quality financial insight.
* As the transformation lead, you will own the finance transformation roadmap, manage milestones and delivery, prepare business cases and project documentation, and provide progress updates to senior leadership forums.
* You will also lead change management activities to embed new processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and technical excellence.
Skills & Experience
* Lloyd’s or London Market insurance experience is essential for this role.
* The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record in finance transformation, syndicate launches or major change programmes, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
