P&L Recruitment are working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation based in North Lanarkshire to recruit an Assistant Accountant in a full-time permanent basis. This is a stand-alone Finance role reporting to the Managing Director where you will be instrumental in ensuring the day to day finance duties in the company. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to fostering strong relationships, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support. We require an ambitious candidate who will progress in the role as the company grows. This role will be office based four days per week and will allow 1 day work from home. Responsibilities: Bookkeeping duties Reconciling company credit card statements Procurement & subcontractor compliance Raise purchase orders Monitor procurement schedules Upload invoices to Sage and match the Purchase orders and proof of delivery Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve invoice queries Prepare and issue payment runs on a weekly basis Collate figures for payroll and send spreadsheet to payroll team Oversee the office as an Office Manager Order stationary General office admin duties Meet and greet visitors Skills and Experience: Highly experienced in Accounts Ambitious and willing to progress Excellent communication skills Proficiency with Sage and MS Office Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong attention to detail High levels of accuracy Able to work independently while supporting the wider team My client offers a highly competitive salary, 35-40K DOE and a wide range of benefits including 1 day work from home.
