The Role We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and oversee the management of our properties while providing essential tenancy-related support to residents. This role is a vital bridge between ensuring the smooth operation of our housing provision and fostering a stable living environment for our tenants. Key Responsibilities As a Support Worker your duties will include: Housing Management Duties: Managing tenancy agreements, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and best practices. Handling tenancy allocations, property inspections, and addressing maintenance issues. Liaising with local authorities and housing benefit teams regarding rent payments and tenancy funding. Providing tenancy sustainment support, assisting tenants in understanding their rights and responsibilities. Addressing anti-social behaviour, disputes, and tenancy-related concerns professionally. Support-Oriented Responsibilities: While your primary role is housing management, we value a holistic approach to tenant wellbeing. Therefore, you may also: Offer informal guidance and signposting to appropriate services related to tenancy support. Support tenants in managing their accommodation independently, fostering self-sufficiency. Encourage community engagement and social inclusion within properties. Be a point of contact for tenants needing advice and encouragement in navigating housing-related matters. The Ideal Candidate: Were looking for someone with: Experience in housing management or tenancy sustainment. Strong understanding of housing legislation and tenant rights. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support tenants in their housing journey.
