Responsibilities of an ECT English Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and creative English lessons that meet curriculum standards.
2. Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for English literature and language.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an outstanding learning environment.
5. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive space for learning.
6. Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements for an ECT English Teacher:
1. Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it.
2. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
3. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
4. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs.
5. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
6. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
