We're building a new cross-functional team to uncover and commercialise bold, cross-cutting growth opportunities. As Proposition Manager, you’ll need to be a strategic thinker, able to solve complex customer and business problems and lead the discovery and early development of new ideas and solutions. Your goal is to shape these into compelling, insight-led propositions that are desirable, viable, and feasible enough to hand over to our Experiments Manager for piloting or launch.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, business owners, designers, developers, and insight teams to identify and validate new value. You'll champion ideas from concept through to business case, squad formation, and delivery handover.

We're looking for someone who is very commercially minded, and equally customer obsessed, who brings clarity and energy to ambiguity. You’ll be confident working at pace, curious about new possibilities, and skilled at combining research, data, and testing to bring early-stage ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

* Shape and validate early-stage propositions :Use the double diamond framework to define customer problems, explore opportunities, and develop ideas into propositions that are insight-led, commercially grounded, practically buildable and align to the business strategy and regulatory landscape.
* Champion new ideas :Own the proposition roadmap and take new concepts through proposition governance and investment decision points. Work with experimentation leads to design and run tests that validate desirability, feasibility, and viability, from demand testing to user research.
* Build strong business cases :Define critical success factors and KPIs. Develop robust benefits cases working with Finance partners, drive ideas through approval processes, and track early measurement signals to build confidence in their potential.
* Set propositions up for success :Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the scope and shape of early delivery including POC, feature roadmap and target audience. Help prepare for the transition to pilot or launch, ensuring clarity on problem, opportunity, and rationale.
* Collaborate across teams :Work with designers, developers, scrum masters, product managers, and business stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure the proposition stays grounded in insight and commercial intent in a business lead capacity.
* Keep things joined up :Manage dependencies, risks, and assumptions. Work within a wider change delivery framework to ensure visibility, consistency, and control through the early discovery and validation stages.
* Stakeholder management and influencing:Act as business lead on all things linked to the proposition influencing a range of senior stakeholders up to Director level for engagement, commitment, prioritisation, sponsorship and investment.

Key Skills

* Experience in financial services and a regulatory environment (e.g. car, lending, home, or emerging products).
* Strong track record of driving strategic change in fast-paced environments.
* Agile experience in a Proposition Manager or early-stage Product role, focused on insight-led discovery and validation.
* Familiarity with agile tools and processes.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
* Strong ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
* Ability to understand both technology and customer needs, combining qualitative and quantitative insights to shape recommendations.
* Strong commerciality and financial acumen.
* Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, with a proactive and curious mindset.
* Experience bringing new propositions to life in an organisation going through replatforming or transformational change projects.
