The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, providing expertise across highways, drainage and infrastructure works. You’ll work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring designs meet regulatory standards and best practice, while continuing to develop your own professional capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Design & Technical Delivery
o Design, analyse and develop civil engineering solutions including highways, drainage systems, infrastructure, earthworks and site layouts
o Contribute to project delivery with guidance and support from senior management
* Regulatory & Standards Compliance
o Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, planning conditions and relevant industry standards
o Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and regulatory adherence across all designs
* Problem-Solving & Innovation
o Identify technical challenges early and develop robust, innovative engineering solutions
o Support risk mitigation and efficient project outcomes
* Health, Safety & Sustainability
o Ensure Designer compliance with CDM 2015
o Promote safe, sustainable and responsible design practices
* Quality Assurance
o Support quality assurance of engineering outputs to meet internal and external standards
Requirements
* Relevant degree or apprenticeship with appropriate industry experience
* Actively working towards (or keen to progress to) ICE corporate membership
* Full clean UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
