About the Opportunity
A UK-based technology organisation in Fareham is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support the development of software used within government, defence and law-enforcement environments. This role focuses on Android-led development, with exposure to PC and cloud applications, within a small and collaborative engineering team.
Eligibility Requirement
Due to the nature of the work, only UK-born nationals who are eligible for UK MoD security clearance can be considered, and applications from candidates who do not meet this requirement cannot be progressed.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test and support software products, primarily for Android platforms
* Work closely with customers and internal teams to define requirements
* Collaborate with software, hardware and UI engineers
* Provide technical support and produce clear user documentation
* Support product design, manufacturing and test activities
Essential Skills & Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline
* Strong experience across the software development lifecycle
* Commercial experience with C# .NET
* Android application development using MAUI
* Knowledge of SQL databases, user interfaces and data communications
* Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems
