Job Description
To deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our Sheffield office to existing and new clients. The scope of services delivered by the role-holder are flexible, dependent upon the Client’s requirements, covering both CDM and H&S Management.
The key requirements of the role are to understand the Clients’ needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their needs and expectations.
Understand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency
Provide expert advice and where required, act as Principal Designer and help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities, in accordance with CDM regulations
Establish positive relations with existing and new Clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate
Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with Clients in a timely manner
Management of all commissions, where responsibility is assigned, to ensure both Client's expectations / scope of service and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged
Carrying out H&S performance reviews, audits etc. on behalf of the Client
Liaise, proactively and professionally, with SHQ, and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness; support others as needed and ensure consistency, quality and profitability of shared projects
Compiling and creating relevant pre-construction information and relevant H&S files
Qualifications
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Full UK driving licence
NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
GradIOSH or equivalent
Membership of the APS
Experience as a Principal Designer
Excellent communication skills
Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines
Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations
Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired, with a proven ability to meet Clients needs would be an advantage
