We are looking to recruit a Stock Controller to join us at our Howden manufacturing site to control the stock of materials required to meet production plans.
This is an essential role where you will be controlling and recording stock movements, booking goods inwards and overseeing goods out and be accountable for the accuracy of stock levels.
Shifts:
Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00
The role:
To effectively manage inventory control activities, ensuring stock accuracy, minimising losses, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This includes maintaining SKU data, monitoring damaged stock movements, reacting swiftly to operational issues, and proactively addressing factors that impact STR performance.
- Maintaining accurate stock profiles and location data within the inventory system
- Conducting perpetual inventory counts and system accuracy audits
- Performing routine cycle checks to ensure ongoing inventory integrity
- Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, reporting issues where necessary
- Overseeing and ensuring compliance with depot return processes
- Managing location setup, changes, and updates in line with operational requirements
- Identifying stock shortfalls during shifts and implement immediate corrective action
What you need to qualify for the Stock Controller:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Office applications
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Red Prairie
- Experience with inventory audits, stock reconciliation, and warehouse operations
