Geography Teacher

Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working with a large Sheffield partner Academy to recruit a dedicated Geography Teacher. This is a 4-day placement from Tuesday to Friday, beginning in September and lasting until the end of the Autumn Term in December 2024.
The successful candidate will teach Geography up to GCSE level and will be responsible for their own exam classes.
This is a ‘Good’ rated school located in the south of Sheffield, where leaders prioritize pupils’ academic success and ensure they are well prepared for their next steps in education, employment, or training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons.
* Develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
* Assess and monitor student progress.
* Create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
* Encourage a passion for geography and environmental awareness among students.
* Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Geography to UK secondary school students
* Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to providing a high standard of education for all students
