A new opportunity has emerged within the Technical & Engineering space for a Project Controls Manager to join a niche consultancy supporting one of the UK’s flagship nuclear projects. 🔍 What You’ll Lead
As the Project Controls Manager, you’ll sit within the Technical & Engineering team — a positive, collaborative environment focused on proactive delivery and continuous improvement. You’ll guide integrated controls functions and ensure engineering teams have the intelligence and confidence to make the right decisions at the right time.
Your responsibilities include:
* Setting Direction: Leading cost, schedule, risk and reporting across technical and engineering workstreams
* Creating Clarity: Converting performance data into clear, meaningful and actionable insight
* Developing Capability: Growing maturity in controls processes, coaching others, and embedding stronger practices
* Shaping Outcomes: Identifying risks early, supporting issue resolution, and steering teams toward successful delivery
* Building Influence: Forming trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the UK, Paris and Bristol
✅ What You Bring
You’re proactive, logical, thoughtful, and a strong communicator — someone who engages calmly and effectively across technical teams while providing strategic challenge where needed.
* Proven experience in project controls within major infrastructure, engineering or nuclear environments
* Strong capability in Primavera P6, cost management, risk, and performance reporting
* Ability to build control frameworks, raise standards, and strengthen team capability
* Comfortable working within complex governance structures, including NEC-based arrangements
* A collaborative mindset with positive behaviours and the confidence to influence decisions
