Joining as a General Foreman reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be accountable for providing suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works Solutions, identifying potential hazards and inputting into the production of RAMS.Main Responsibilities: Ensuring all plant and small tools are adequately maintained before useSuggesting improvement areas when necessary with the workforce and subcontractorsMonitoring the performance of plant operators and appointed personsDemonstrating commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental PoliciesEnsuring that the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforceEnsuring task outputs are achieved on site in accordance with the programmeIdentifying any potential improvement in outputsKeeping up to date with any legislative changesEnsuring the workforce & gangers have sufficient and correct information in terms of specification, workmanship and finishSkills and experience required: An ability to show understanding of company protocols with regard to Accidents and Incidents investigationsA good working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislationAn understanding of contract documents, construction tolerances and test plansPrevious experience of working as a General Foreman on Civil Engineering projects that involve earthworks, drainage and structures with a large percentage of self-deliveryCSCS Gold CardSMSTS
