About the role:
We are busy delivering our next generation of intelligent sensors to clients across the world, from Transport for London, to New York City, to Melbourne.
We’re seeking a Trainee Build Technician to join our Manufacturing function. This is a full-time, permanent role where we offer dedicated training and support to enable progression through set performance levels. Our performance scoring system, and our skills and competency matrix, help to identify improvement areas for the Trainee so that we can help them achieve their goals.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll gain experience of the end-to-end manufacturing process, including:
* Building mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies;
* Assembling mechanical and electrical hardware into IP enclosures;
* Using software to flash and test assembled components;
* Following build processes and reference tools to ensure all assemblies conform to correct specification;
* Support tasks such as picking stock items for builds, and packaging sensors for shipment;
* Attending team meetings and contributing ideas to ensure continual improvement within team;
* Collaborating with other teams within the function and wider company where appropriate.
About you:
* Professional experience not necessary, but must be passionate about manufacturing, with eagerness to learn;
* Good communication skills;
* Team player: maintains a positive attitude towards work, showing respect for other staff and visitors;
* Manual dexterity with an eye for detail;
* IT literate;
* High personal motivation.
