Main duties of the job
* In line with National Standards of Cleanliness provide a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff
* To communicate effectively with patients, work colleagues and visitors throughout the process of delivery of the service and at all times respecting dignity and confidentiality.
* To carry out all designated cleaning duties in safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department. Compliance with policies and procedures
* Completion of mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
* Uses own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.

Job responsibilities
* Completion of work records
* Work completed in line with schedules and timescales
* Reports any adverse event to line manager and completes online form
* Patient satisfaction surveys show no incidents / concerns regarding service
* No issues raised via PALS
* To carry out all designated cleaning duties in safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department. Compliance with policies and procedures
* Completion of mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
* Uses own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Experience
* Previous experience working with the public / customers
* Experience of working in the cleaning industry commercial / healthcare etc.
* Previous experience of working in a hospital / healthcare / care home environment
