Electrical Engineer - Essex
Salary: c£70,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Blue Chip Benefits
Essex, commutable from Tilbury, Grays, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Dartford, and surrounding areas.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering team at a leading manufacturing plant in Essex. This role requires someone with a strong technical background and experience in managing electrical systems within a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a blend of academic qualifications and practical experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on compliance, process improvement, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of maintenance plans and ensure electrical systems meet compliance standards.
* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement proactive measures to reduce breakdowns.
* Manage projects to improve electrical equipment efficiency, including involvement in capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
* Develop and enforce site standards for electrical systems, ensuring the use of optimal equipment and technologies.
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve system performance and implement new electrical systems across the site.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Qualifications: BEng/MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, plus 18th Edition or similar electrical qualification.
* Experience: Proven track record in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Experience with Siemens S5/S7 PLC, Allen Bradley, Profinet, and high-voltage switching is highly desirable.
* Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with electrical systems, project management for CAPEX projects, and familiarity with compliance regulations.
* Personality: Strong communicator with problem-solving skills, able to work autonomously and within a team.
