Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and support the set‑up of a new production facility. This role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality output, efficient production processes, and strong leadership of a growing production team.
My client is a business that manufacture a range of Electrical & Electronic Products therefore a successful candidate will have knowledge and experience having worked in a similar/related business.
Responsibilities
* Develop and organise detailed production schedules to meet project requirements.
* Evaluate project demands and identify necessary resources for efficient delivery.
* Prepare, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timelines in collaboration with project managers.
* Ensure all health and safety standards and regulations are consistently upheld.
* Establish and maintain robust quality control measures across all production activities.
* Manage and oversee day‑to‑day production operations to ensure smooth workflow.
* Adjust and re‑negotiate schedules or deadlines when required to accommodate changes.
* Select, order, and procure materials and components when needed.
* Coordinate routine maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimise downtime.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with buyers and project managers as necessary.
* Lead, supervise, and support junior production staff to ensure strong team performance.
* Identify training needs and arrange appropriate training sessions for staff development.
